![]() 1 Many separate maps of the Auckland region are developed. Each map has specific kinds of information about the region on it: social, ecological, and cultural. 2 These maps are layered up on top of each other. 3 By connecting information from layer to layer interesting intersections of regional data can be located. 4 The places where these interesting elements intersect are called intensities. 5 Artists, landscape architects and other designers are invited to create site-specific works, called interventions, which play with the special qualities of each intensity. 6 When a number of interventions have been realised they are connected by pathways so visitors can navigate the region from artwork to artwork. 7 Visitors to the artweb website can use the maps on the site to plan tours of the artweb project interventions.
